The Sea Turtles were at it again and had yet another fabulous week! Our days were spent exploring dinosaurs with lots of fun activities which included making dinosaur headbands, measuring how big a t-rex's footstep was in relation to ours, creating dinosaur footprints on paper and making a t-rex craft out of paint and sand. We also conducted a science experiment where we placed chicken bones in vinegar. The children made amazingly creative predictions! Luke said, "the bones will come together and make a chicken again," Spencer said, "the bones might break," Heath and Robert both said, "the bones might change color," Colton and Aedan both said, "the bones might make a dinosaur," Cooper said, "the bones will disappear," Mills said, "the bones will just be bones." On Monday, we will see what actually happened!
Our service learning project for the Transition House is going swimmingly! The kids are excited everyday about which item we will put on our poster board house next and they also made their bag tags for their tote bag! Thank you again to those who have brought in donation items!
This next week is all about St. Patrick's Day! Rainbows, shamrocks and leprechauns, oh my!
See you Monday!
Love, Miss Meika
